What we do at Jubilee

Jubilee's expression of the community of Jesus Christ goes beyond the Sunday meeting. It includes connecting together during the week in various ways and locations. At these time we focus on up-reach, in-reach and out-reach.

Up-reach

Up-reach is about helping people connect with Jesus through prayer and worship corporately as well as encouraging the development of the same practise personally in our lives. These times are where we reach up to God for grace, inspiration and guidance while offering praise and thanksgiving for His continued faithfulness. Up-reach is mainly through our meeting together on Sundays.

In-reach

In-reach is achieved through connect groups and other small group activities. This is where we inspire one another to live life better and to stand with each other through life’s challenges, growing in our faith. It's about bringing everyone along on the journey and vision God has called us to.

Out-reach

Out-reach is about how we connect our world with the life changing message of Jesus. We work with a simple model based on Acts 1.2:

         ‘these are the things Jesus began both to do and to teach’

In other words it's about doing something and then saying something. Speaking that goes hand in hand with our actions.

Action: we encourage people to step out in acts of service, acts of mercy and acts of power.

Speaking: we encourage people to be able to talk about their personal story of becoming a Christian; teach the basic message about Jesus, like Philip did with the Ethiopian Eunuch; and to speak prophetic words, like Jesus did with the woman at the well.
